Growth Groups Spring '10

Spring is the time of year when things grow. As winter comes to an end and spring begins we all look forward to the first signs of spring. Here at Risen King we are convinced that the best way we can help prepare you for growth this spring is to encourage you to join a Growth Group. We are all involved in a process of growing and learning what it means to live as a believer in Christ.

Growth Groups are our way of uniting with each other to help each other take steps forward and grow in our relationship with Christ. The small group allows for a friendly atmosphere where we can deepen our relationship with Christ and with each other. The Growth Groups meet in homes, at Risen King, New City campus and also at a coffee house for 1-2 hours a week. The Growth Groups meet at different times throughout the week and have different leaders. Please consider taking a step toward growth and make the commitment of joining one of our Growth Groups this Spring. The groups will begin the week of February 21 and run through May 8th.  Check out the different groups below:


Financial Peace (video series)  Sign-up

Financial Peace University (FPU) consists of a 13-week video curriculum—taught by financial expert Dave Ramsey—that incorporates small-group discussions to encourage accountability and discipleship. Financial Peace University is highly entertaining for everyone, with a unique combination of humor, informative financial advice and biblical messages.


School of Prayer  Sign-up


Tuesdays: 7-9pm at Risen King Central

The School of Prayer is a 10 week DVD series taught by Dr. Fred Hartley and Rev. Mike Plunket.
At its core is learning from Jesus how to approach God and keep it real!


The Journey From Lent to Pentecost   Sign-up

Beth Moore Video Series

Believing God: Experiencing a Fresh Explosion of Faith by Beth Moore is based on Isaiah 43:10 and explores what it means to not only believe in God but to believe Him. Through studying the lives of Abraham, Moses, and others from Hebrews 11 as examples of persons who believed God, Beth encourages women to deepen their own trust in God and receive a fresh word from Him.
